2012 Queen’s Scholarship Pageant

“Rockin and Rollin with the Texas Pecan Festival” is the theme for this year’s Texas Pecan Festival to be held September 20-23. Plans are underway for the Annual Texas Pecan Festival Scholarship Pageant. The pageant will be held Saturday, September 15, 2012 at the Port Neches-Groves High School Auditorium.
There has been a change in the registration procedures from past years. There will no longer be a sign up period for participation in the pageant. Girls age 3 years of age to 12th grade that live in Groves may begin picking up applications at the Groves Chamber of Commerce starting Tuesday, May 1, 2012. Completed applications will be accepted on a first come first serve basis. Each category will be limited to 20 contestants. Once the category is filled no more applications will be accepted. The categories are Little Miss, ages 3-5; Duchess, ages 6-8; Countess, ages 9-10; Junior Miss, ages 11-12; Princess, 7th – 9th grade; Queen, 10th – 12th grade;
Applications must be returned completed with registration fees by 5:00pm on Tuesday, July 18, 2012 to the Groves Chamber of Commerce office. No late applications will be accepted.
